What Causes Panic Attacks And Insomnia While On Amitriptyline?

I have been taking amitriptyline hcl 10mg three times per day for one month. I suffer from severe panic attacks, generalized anxiety, obsessive thoughts, and insomnia. I have every known negative side effect. Confusion, suicidal ideation, increased panic attacks, depression, agitation, increased insomnia. I paged my psychiatrist and she told me to stop the medication. She said I do not have to taper down because of the low dosage. How long will this medication remain in my system? I feel as if i should be seen in the ER for I am that afraid.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
dear friend
why were you prescribed Amitriptyline in the first place, please share the original diagnosis for the prescription for us to reach any logical conclusion, the drug can be prescribed for the symptoms that you are having, and the symptoms you are having could also be caused by the medication.
if the reason for the prescription is known only then some suggestion can be made
