General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Anxiety is common problem. It can be a short term or long term problem.

Treatment involves both psychotherapy and medication though some persons only require psychotherapy.

The medication may be for a short period of time, if it is needed. It would depend on her response.

Psychotherapy would explore her thoughts and ideas, any perceptions that may be contributing to her anxiety and try to alter her thought process and therefore reduce her levels of anxiety.
It would teach techniques to help to deal with stressful situations.

I hope this helps
