Hi Dr. My nerves are beating since 2 days ,and I m not able to sleep...if I try to sleep I feel lyk something wrong in head , my heart is beating rapidly...I can feel the pain on left side chest, and even I m suffering from throat...I thing this is bcz of smoking...

Hello,

Bad and harmful to health as smoking is, I do not think it is responsible for these symptoms.

I believe the most likely cause is anxiety which can commonly cause all those symptoms you mention.

Psychotherapy and if not enough antianxiety medication are the mainstay of treatment.

One other possibility to consider would be thyroid dysfunction which should be checked through some routine blood tests.
