What Causes Painful Bruises In Testicles?

Hi!Four year ago, during basketball, I suddenly got a severe pain in the left testis. Eventually the pain subsided. Now it hurts me occasionally when I'm running, jumping, walking or skating. I get a small blue spots on the testicles (small bruises). What could this be.

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
The sudden pain while at basketball, without any history is suggestive of a testicular torsion.
This is reoccurring as the cord supporting the testis must be long or there is excessive mobility of the testis within its own protective covering.
Another remote possibility is of a varicocele.

Please get this checked once from a Surgeon or Urologist and go for ultrasonography and color doppler studies.
A small surgery will cure your problem.
