What Causes Painful Boils Under Tongue?

I am a 38 year old male, 5'7", 160, hypothyroidism. I have two small boils under my tongue which hurt like the Dickens. Feels like canker sore but under the tongue. I do remember maybe burning my tongue on some hot coffee a week ago - could that be the reason? Any treatment?

Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query.
The small boils could be because of the burn caused by the hot coffee. Or it can be because of the obstructed salivary gland duct by a calculi or stone.
Consult a oral physician to rule out these two conditions and get it treated.
I f it a ulcer or a boil because of the hot coffee then you can apply topical anesthetic and analgesics like anabel gel. if it is a stone then it has to be removed surgically.
I hope my answer will help you, take care.
