What Causes Painful And Swollen Eye?

Two weeks ago I started feeling a pin pricking feeling randomly in my eyelid which would make me verbally out loud yell OW! And it would cause my eyes to water. About a week later it started feeling extremely tender and bruised. A week after that the same spot created a lump and turned purpleish red and swollen. What in the world is going on with my eye? What s the best way to make it go away?

Hello
It seems from the history that you are having pain, tenderness, swollen eye lids and now you are having a lump on the eye lids.
This is because of inflammation and infection involving the glands of the eye lids.
The common lesion is hordeolum.
The treatment of the condition is by using oral anti inflammatory drugs, antibiotic eye drops.
Application of hot compression to the swelling provides symptomatic relief.

Thank you
