I had a c section and my tubes tied 4 months ago. I just had 2 hernias surgically fixed 9 days ago. I am still on vicodin. I just started my period, again. And it is very painful and heavy....should I be worried? What is causing this? Is it surgery?medication? Tubes tied?

Hi,

Tubal ligation/hernia repair surgeries. Both are liable to cause physical & psychological stress which in turn leads to hormonal imbalance, lasting for few months. Can be managed with cyclical hormones dosage to be decided after knowing details of her health. Please consult your gynecologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
