What Causes Pain On The Left Side And Constipation?

Why do I have pain in my left side? I always have trouble having a bowel movement but no pain until now. Now its alot of pain in my left side toward the back. I have been tested for kidney infections 2 times both negative and also bladder infections. Kidney function is good, they couldn't find anything but I still feel the pain every time I pass gas or urinate. I'm scared of what it might be but the doctors do not seem concerned..help!
