What Causes Pain In Upper Left Back While Breathing?

experiencing strange beathing pain<
Hello Im a 41 y/o male who has never had any problems breathing. last year I was diagnosed with high blood pressure. I have been taking diovan, enalapril and hydrochlorothiazide to regulate. As of two days ago I started experiencing a strange pain in my upper left back when I take deep breaths. its like an imflammatory sharp yet deep pain whenever I inhale/exhale. I don't know wether that's pain is on my lungs or my kidney or whatever. I wish it would just go away. But I'm going to see a doctor today right away.

Hi welcome to HCM...

According to history provided if respi symptoms like cough , fever etc associated then it could be by respi cause like bronchitis or pleuricy...
Chest x ray done...
If on auscultation rhonchi heard then spirometry done for rule out asthma....

In kidney disease pain is in the loin region...
Sometime along with pain blood in urine also present in kidney disease.
So rather then kidney problem rule out respi causes..

If no specific cause found then it could be by simple musculoskeletal pain....

Hope your concern solved.
Consult physician for proper examination.

Take care.
