What Causes Pain In The Right Eye And Headache?

Painful right nare, outer and inner. No discharge. Throbbing pain from tip to inner canthula of right eye. Relieved with Motrin. Sympt for one week without relief. Experiencing r-sided headache. Mild discomfort wearing reading glasses at night; usually wear one contact which I can do now. No other sx.

Welcome to HCM. Do you notice any localized irritation , redness in right eye when you blink? If you have persistent pain and no previous history of sinusitis or migraine, pl do have an eye examination done. It could be a stye/prescription change /related to your contact lens wear( you have not mentioned which eye you wear the lens though ...)/dry eyes. Try using OTC lubricant eye drops every 4-6 th hrly, warm compression over the painful eye along with Motrin until your examination.Hope you get well soon. Take care.
