What Causes Pain In The Ribs?

I feel a slight pressure just below ribs, its more apparent during the week when I work at a desk. I'm tall so I tend to have bad posture. I also sometimes get sharp but not hugely painful 'pains' inbetween a couple of my ribs, both sides occasionally. I tried to book an appointment with doctor, but the next one available is in 3 weeks - just wondered if I should be worried? I'm 25, healthy diet, walk 4-5 miles a day. Many thanks. Callum

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query.Your problem is most likely costochondritis. Pain while palpation of area will be positive. For such cases i treat with anti inflammatory gels of diclofenac or nimusulide for local application. I also give tablets of same for oral intake also for some.Hope this may help you.
Let me know if you have any further query.
