What Causes Pain In Stomach And Diarrhea?

I have stomach problems for years now. Over the past few months the pain has intensified. I wake up with diarhea daily and lately I have felt bloated like I ate alot, however, I am hungry. My stools have no form and I noticed today there were thin bright red strings about the size and diameter of a sixteen guage needle. What would cause this?

Hi,

These May be many reasons for your symptoms. If you have not lost weight, there is no difficulty in swallowing then most probably these symptoms are caused by IBS.

It is very common and the symptoms can be distressing. However the good thing is, it never causes any serious problems. But first we need to rule out other organic causes like H.pylori or celiac disease or other organic causes by blood tests and detail examination.

So talk to your gastroenterologist for proper assessment and evaluation.
