What Causes Pain In Lungs And Weak Muscles After Thymectomy ?

sir, my mother is suffering from myasthenia gravis since last 3 years. now after thymectomy she is not normal now. she is taking mystein tablets, omnacortil,azoran. but muscles are still weak generally the respiratory muscles. she is also complaining about pain in lungs.

I can understand your concern.
Possibility of neuromuscular weakness is more likely in her case.
It is very common complication after thymectomy surgery.
She might need increasing dose of mystein, omnacortil and azoran tablets.
If she does not improve after this then Intravenous bolus steroid injection should be started.
Also get done chest x ray and PFT (Pulmonary Function Test) to rule out atelectesis (partial collapse of part of lung) due to diaphragm weakness.
