What Causes Pain In Ears While Burping?

hello -i went to the doctors a month ago but he said i had a blocked eustachian tube. he told me to use a moisturizing nasal spray and some sinus meds.. i have done all that he has requested as well as using steam -It is still bothering me. Everything from my left ear sounds muffled and i have a lot of cracking and when i burp my ears pop and hurt. My left jaw is hurting a bit as well Any suggestions

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have ear pain specially while burping and you have muffled hearing which could be due to ear infection. It could be due to accumulation of ear wax, foreign body penetration in ear, Eustachian tube dysfunction and it could be due to sinusitis.Need not to worry about it. I would suggest you to take few preventive measures. You should avoid touching or pricking it with any sharp object. Maintain proper hygiene. Take proper rest. Try to avoid excessive use of mobile as it will put more pressure. You should take antibiotic Ciprofloxacin you are not allergic to it along with Ibuprofen and Loratadine. Put Otogesic ear drops 2-3 times a day. If symptoms keeps on persisting you should visit ENT specialist once and get it examined and start treatment after proper prescription. Get all the lab tests done for proper examination.
