What Causes Pain In Chest And Arm After Having Surgery For Heart Attack?
my husband get heart attack from 2 weeks ago and he went to the emergency with difficult breath and sweeting and chest pain so the did urgent surgery for him to open the blocked coronary artery he still has other blocked arteries but by 50% avd he take asprin . he return to his work now but he complain twice write now from feeling pain in his left arm for 2 minutes and also chest pain after he eats heavy meal . he should come to the doctor after 4 weeks . we should wait or he should go direct to the hospital thanks
From your history it is not very clear whether your husband underwent bypass surgery or procedure called angioplasty? your main concern now is chest pain especially after meals.as per scientific guide line any artery which is blocked less than 70% does not need stent or graft, that can be managed with medication.other artery which is 50% blocked does not need any intervention.so you may increase the dose of statin group of medicine and also you may step up nitrates.but it is always better to consult your doctor earlier to reassess him to decide further line of action.Don't wait for 4 weeks. my best wishes.
