What Causes Pain And Tingling Sensation On The Arm After Tuberculosis?

My 8 years old daughter was diagnosed with tubercoloma in 2009 and the cyst was taken out with operation. She was under medication for tubercolosis for 12 months. Now, she complains about feeling weakness, tingling effect and sometimes pain in her left arm. What should I do?

Hello
Thanks for your query.
Probably she is suffering from peripheral neuropathy which may be due to anti-tubercular therapy. I think your daughter must undergo a nerve conduction velocity testing for both the upper limbs and may have a trial for pregabalin or gabapentin for 1 month or so. Consult a neurologist and get your daughter thoroughly examined.
Thank you
Regards,
Dr Arnab Maji
