What Causes Pain And Tearing In My Eye?

I wake up with a sever sharp cutting pain in my right eye when I rub my eye while sleeping. It is very painful, I can't open my eye for a little bit, tears and after about 20 minutes goes away. this happens may every 2 weeks. Any answers ? Thanks.

You have not mentioned about congestion,Dis charge and itching. Paln can be due to involvement of cornea conjunctiva and lid. Cause can be infection or allergy local examination by doctor can decide the diagnosis. It can be anti allergic tablet and drop or antibiotic drop to be decided after diagnosis.
