What Causes Pain And Numbness In The Legs?

My daughter has pain and feeling of numbness in her legs and feet. has had it for 6 week or so and has gone to ER and they say it may be sciatica but it is very painful and and she thinks she could have CES? She fell on her tailbone and is having trouble walking now. Any idea what is wrong? She has an appointment with an orthopedic Dr. on Wednesday.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for asking.
Numbness &pain in legs along with fall tail bone followed by pain... both of these are orthopedic problems.
Leg problem can be due to vitamin B12 deficiency /nerve pinching at spinal, pelvic region. This mostly responds with vitamin supliment, rest /physiotherapy ,pain medications /surgery in fewcases.
Tail bone pain seems to br due to trauma/fracture of tail bone... which heals on it's own (but takes a prolonged time)with supportive teatment as advised by expert .Few patients need surgery .
It's orthopedic surgeon who would help you as per need. Please see him as decided earlier.
Thanks.
