Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Dear patient
Left shoulder pain with tingling and numbness in index finger and thumb may be because of two reasons 1. C5 nerve compression due to disc prolapse 2. Carpal tunnel syndrome. Possibilities of 1st cause Is higher considering your symptom. I would like to advise MRI of cervical spine with screening of whole spine which helps in 1. Diagnosis of disc prolapse 2 .rules out bony abnormalities 3 . Correctly identify the level of prolapse. So visit mri centre nearby you and get it done asap. If it's abnormal consult expert spine surgeon nearby you and get examined. Meanwhile take tab vitamin B12 plus pregabalin 75mg at bedtime will relieve your symptoms. All the best.
