What Causes Pain And Light Sensitivity In The Eyes?

My left eye is watery, stinging at times, and very sensitive to light. Especially once I am outside in the sun. It has been this way for about a month or more. I have been seeing an Eye Dr., who thinks it may have been caused by a bad contact. They said there were some cuts on the white of the eye, and also one on the Pupil. However, the cuts on the white part of the eye have healed, and also the one on the pupil is healed, or almost healed completely. Yet I still have the light sensitivity, although it is a little better. Will, or should, it in time, continue to get better.? And approximately how long will it take, as I am only able to drive now after dark.

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Hi,

It can be an old injury. can apply Ofloxacin 6% eye drop 6 hourly. Apply Neosporine eye ointment at bedtime. You can get checked by ophthalmologist for detail check up of iris and conjunctiva , cornea for injury. It is causing photo phobia due to corneal erosion. Till such time can use a dark glass in day time.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
