What Causes Oily Yellow Discharge From Breast?

For about the last week I have noticed a small stain on my night gown when I wake up in the morning from my right breast. Then the other day when changing I noticed an oily yellow discharge from the same breast. Just wondering if this is normal. (I haven t breastfed in 9 years) Thanks, Amy

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, yellow discharge from breast,, possibility of purulent discharge need to be ruled out, if no swelling no tenderness, then this may not be infection, proper breast examination is advisable for lump formation, such discharge could not be normal and needs attention, should be taken seriously, imaging study may required, at the most this can be tentatively treated with antibiotic and the best option would be Tab Ciprofloxacin 500mg twice in day for 5 days, hope this information helps, take care.
