What Causes Occasional Pains In The Abdomen?

I have had unrelenting moderate-severe URQ pain for the past week. Applying pressure seemed to be the only thing that helped, and even that wasn't very much. Today, I was using a plastic bottle and applying pressure to the area (my hands were tired). After about 15 minutes, I felt two ballon-like pops, mid-line. All of a sudden the pain was gone. I felt better immediately. Now that it's later in the day, after finally being able to eat some, I feel very distended, and am having some heartburn, and some occasional pains throughout the abdominal area. Should I be worried? Thank you,
