What Causes Numbness On Top Of The Head?

I suffered an impact on my head three days ago, and the top of my head is still numb. I never lost consciousness, get sick to my stomach, or suffer any memory lose. My pupils are both the same, and there wasn t any blood or fluids leaking out of my eyes or ears.I have been completely coherent, but I am worried about the numbness. Is that normal?

Neurologist 's  Response
Hello dear,
I understand your concern.Your head injury appears to be a clinically mild one because it was not associated with loss of consciousness.Other clinically relevant details you mentioned like symmetrical pupils,no eye or ear injury and normal sensorium also points it to be a mild injury.Post traumatic numbness on head is common for a few days after the head injury. Please be patient and observe for a few days.It will probably subside. If it still persists, please consult a neurologist so that he may examine you and order a brain imaging like computerised tomographic scan of head,if he think it's needed.
