Hi,

Numbness and other sensory disturbances such as tingling or pins and needles can be caused by nerve damage or irritation, which is a possible complication of cervical disc surgery such as anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF). It is possible that nerve damage or irritation from the surgery is causing the numbness in your pointer finger and other symptoms you are experiencing.

However, it is also possible that your symptoms may be due to other underlying conditions, such as a pinched nerve in the neck or carpal tunnel syndrome. It is important to seek medical attention from a healthcare provider to determine the underlying cause of your symptoms and receive appropriate treatment.

If you are experiencing additional symptoms such as numbness in your feet or bouts of numbness running up and down your left arm, it is important to seek medical attention promptly. These symptoms may suggest a more serious underlying condition such as a spinal cord injury or stroke. It is important to attend all scheduled appointments for your condition and follow your healthcare provider's instructions for any medication or treatment recommendations.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
