What Causes Numbness On Arms And Elbows?

I am having some numbness in my arm below the elbow on my left arm for quite a long time now. I also have what seems to be a spongy area on my left elbow. The numbness on my left arm seemed to go away over a few months but now I am starting to get the same numbness on the right arm below the elbow and some numbness and tingling of my finger tips. My doctor said he thought when I saw him about my left arm that it was the almner nerve. I never hit my elbow at any time and now I m getting similar symptoms on my right arm and again haven t hit my elbow and also the numbness of the finger tips. Any ideas?

Hello,

* As per my clinical experience, the numbness on arms and elbows up to finger tips indicate bilateral compressive features through underlying neuronal problem.
* It is the root problem at spinal cord level, usually cervical region from where the nerve roots immerge for the control of both upper limbs.
* There can be compression at facet joint level, intervertebral disc region or others.
* An MRI of the cervical spine do serve best for the final diagnosis and cure in accordance to that only.
