What Causes Numbness In Upper Legs Upon Standing?

I am a Physical Education teacher and I stand on my feet for most of the day walking around the gym. Lately, my upper legs are getting numb and tingly. If I sit for a few minutes, the numbness goes away. When I stand again, the numbness comes back. What is causing this?

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted that you are a Physical Education Teacher and has to be standing most of the times and also walking around the Gym.
Lately the upper legs are getting numb and tingly. Gets relieved after sitting down for a few minutes. Numbness comes back on standing up.
The commonest causes can be:
Lumbar discs prolapse causing compression
Varicose veins.
I would advise you the following:
Get at first the clinical evaluation so that the clinical diagnosis will help to get a proper diagnosis and ask for the proper investigations like MRI of the spine or color doppler of the legs.
Once diagnosed, proper treatment can give you cure.
