Hi Dr., My front teeth go numb for a few second. I do not get this feeling very often. Normally I take slightly warm water most of the time. What can be the cause of this problem. Please advise. I am having hyperthyroidism which is bit under controlled.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of numbness in the front teeth which seems to be due to injury to nerve, attrition of teeth, nerve impingement and it could be due to presence of infection in root tips of anterior tooth region. Need not to worry.
- Maintain complete oral hygiene and do warm saline rinses several times a day.
Visit oral physician once and get complete examination done. You should go for periapical x-ray of anterior teeth region done and go for root canal treatment as well. You should take proper course of antibiotics to subside infection. Avoid intake of sharp and sticky substances and excessive cold water.
