What Causes Numbness In The Feet While On Levofloxacin?

My dr has prescribed levofloxacin 250 mg for an UTI. She prescribed 3 pills and said to be sure to take all 3. Last night was my 2nd pill - my back, below my waist hurt badly. My knee joints began aching and other joints ached a bit. Not a good nights rest. Today back has been achy, right knee achy and from standing a while, a little numbness to my feet. I was supposed to take the 3rd pill at 5p cst, but haven t out of concern of repeating the pain from last evening. Have tried to reach my dr to no avail. Thanks for your feedback. Barbara Farquhar

Pain around joints may be due to tendinitis (inflammation of muscle tendons) with the use of levofloxacin. Although it is no common adverse effect but chances are higher specially in elderly patients.
