What Causes Numbness In The Buttocks After An IM Injection?
Hi doctors, I was in the hospital and I had fever, the doctor ordered an IM injection for it and I got it in my left buttock almost three days ago. Now am feeling numb in the site of injection which is extending to the left thigh, too It s annoying feeling Should I be worry about it? Go back to my doctor? Or is it temporary? Please, assure me Thank you.

numbness in the injection site and extending towards the left thigh area will be some neurological lesion.
possibly the sciatic nerve(nerve which innervates the thigh,leg posterior part) will be affected by the Intramuscular injection. this will lead to numbness to the thigh area.
Kindly consult your doctor again for further management As soon as possible.
