What Causes Numbness In Right Side Of Head?

Hi, I was just laying down in the couch using my computer and touched the right side of my head to scratch it and I felt as if that side of my head was numb, so I decided to switch positions and sit down, but when I sat, I had a strange feeling in that same side of my head, since it was numb when I was laying down and then I sat down it was a similar sensation as to when your leg or arm is asleep (so its numb) and then you get that particular feeling when it is starting to wake up. What could this be? It s the first time this happens to me. Thank you, I appreciate your input on this issue.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think that the problem is related to staying for long time in the same position. You may need to change position and do physical activity to improve blood circulation.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
