What Causes Numbness In Mouth, Headache And Bumps On Tongue?
Hello, I am 17 year old female. I have been having numbness of the mouth, headache when bending over or lying down, and light headedness during daily activities. Could this be anything? For the record I've also found a unfamiliar bump on my tongue about several months ago.Could this be the cause of my numbness?
Understanding your concern. As per your query your symptoms such as numbness in mouth, headache and bumps on tongue are indicative of low blood sugar level in your body i.e it could be due to diabetes. Severe acute sinus infection along with low blood glucose level in your body causing these symptoms. Bumps on the tongue could occur due to canker sore , oral thrush or cold sore .Need not to worry. I would suggest you to visit general practitioner once and get your HbA1c levels checked and go for testing of random and fasting blood glucose and start treatment accordingly. Doctor may refer you to dentist for bumps on tongue .Keep brushing twice daily and use Listerine mouth wash. Do flossing twice a week at least. You should maintain complete oral hygiene. Take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain. Avoid eating spicy and hot food .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
