What Causes Numbness In Face Post Thermi RF Procedure On Face?

I just had a procedure called Thermie rf and the doctor told me I would only have swelling for a couple of days. It is to treat the sagging skin under the chin and tighten the neck. He hit a nerve and my face has been numb and in pain for a month. I am very worried this is permanent but he is acting like its no big deal.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
If the nerve is not completely damaged, it can regain function in around 4 to 8 weeks time. You should be experiencing better and feel sensations normally if the nerve heals by this time. But if a nerve is completely damaged, it cannot regain function and the numbness would be permanent. Nerve studies done on the affected nerve will prove it. You can take Vitamin B12 and other B complex vitamins to facilitate nerve healing. Natural foods like fresh vegetables and fruits are also beneficial. After trying that and waiting for a few weeks you could go back to the doctor and decide on what is to be done next. Thank you and have a great day.
