What Causes Numbness In Arm/fingers While Having High Blood Pressure?
My blood pressure has been anywhere from 155/95-175/120 today. I took a lisinopril 12.5 and the pressure is still high. I had numbness in my right arm and fingers yesterday and today. I saw a dr yesterday, and the blood pressure returned to 135/90. I want to know if I can wait until seeing a doctor on Monday or if I need to go to the emergency room?
One of the most important thing that needs to be ruled out in your case is stroke. SO you must get an MRI brain done. Second possibility in your case could be blood pressure related neuropathy that means weakening of nerves. for which you should take vitamin B12 and other nerve strengthening agents like pregabalin or gabapentin. But take a neurologist opinion for that.
