What Causes Numbness From Shin To Lower Legs?

I have had 3 days if numbness from right shin down right lower leg to inner ankle. No injury. Had an ALIF procedure at L5-s1 almost two years ago and no pain or other symptoms since. The current numbness is a totally new symptom. What would cause this and could t be related to previous procedure?

Hi
Welcome to healthcaremagic
I have gone through your query and understand your concern. This numbness seems to be unrelated to your old operation. This can be due to local cause such as stress fracture. As you have symptoms for nearly only 3-4 days, you can rest and take analgesic such as ibuprofen and methylcobalamine. If not relieved by these then further investigation such as nerve conduction studies and MRI lumbar spine may be investigated. Hope your query get answered. If you have any clarification then don't hesitate to write to us. I will be happy to help you.
Wishing you a good health.
Take care.
