What Causes Numbness And Tingling Sensation On Tongue?

my tongue has been "irritated" for a few weeks now. it's not painful .but it feels like maybe my taste buds are inflamed. it feels like my tongue got burned but I don't recall burning it and also it is a little bit tingly or even numb. it doesn't seem to be getting any better or any worse but it's been about 2 weeks now

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems to be pointing towards burning mouth syndrome and can occur due to a number of reasons like deficiency of iron and vitamin B12, dry mouth, infection like thrush, hormonal imbalances, side effect of medicines, stress, diabetes etc..
You should consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and treatment of underlying cause can resolve the symptoms..
As of now you can gargle with a numbing mouthwash, take multivitamin tablet daily, suck on ice pops and do cold water rinses..
Drink plenty of water and chew sugar free chewing gums to stimulate saliva flow..
Keep stress minimal by meditation and breathing exercises..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
