What Causes Numbness And Tingling Sensation On The Right Ear, Shoulder And Arm?
my husband have numbness and tingly feeling on right ear area also shoulder arm hand and leg for 4 days he s 36 have been taking clindamycin hci capsule 150 mg he also has poison oak and has been using a skin cream for it, he found a tick on his leg right before too
Clindamycin may be stopped though usually it doesn't cause ear symptoms as antibiotics like quinolones or tetracycline but unwanted side effects can be caused.
Other safer alternatives should be discussed with his primary care physician. Ear examination may be done.
BPPV maneuver should be done to rule it out. Cervical spine X-ray to look for any signs of nerve entrapment or cervical spondylosis should be ruled out. Meanwhile, OTC analgesics like acetaminophen can help with the pain.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
