What Causes Numbness And Tingling Sensation In The Hands?
I have had a UTI going on 8 wks...its been treated the entire time and I have done everything my Dr says I should. Now I am running high fever, notice tingling in arm and numbness in my hands and am a little constipated.... Are these normal side effects or should I be worried
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Numbness and tingling in hands may be caused by medical conditions like peripheral neuropathy, vitamin deficiency, diabetic neuropathy, and ionic imbalances. With high temperature, an infectious origin is also possible. I will advise you see the doctor for examination and tests. Only a complete medical evaluation may help to reveal the exact cause of your symptoms.
Tests that may help include: full blood count, ESR, serum electrolytes, fasting blood sugar, blood culture, and others if need be.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Mbuomboh Veranso
