The finger of my right hand go numb and tingle. There is pain in my palm just below my thumb and in my wrist. The numbness and pain increase and decrease in intensity and always coordinated. I am losing strength in my hand. My hand is also swollen and I have trouble closing my hand completely. I have not been bitten by anything. The symptoms started about 5 days ago and have been getting worse. What are the possible causes?

Hi,

I have gone through your medical history carefully and understood your concerns.

The swollen hand associated with numbness and tingles in the finger could be due to arthritis or any local trauma.
Get immediate consultation with orthopaedic specialist.
Keep the hand raised.
Take anti-inflammatory meds (e.g. ibuprofen, aspirin, etc.).

Wish fast recovery.
