What Causes Numbness And Tingling Sensation In The Finger Tips?

Currently for about the last 5 hours hours the tip of the left fore finger has been numb. Sensation has not varied while doing basic house hold chors like washing dishes, picking up and such. I can feel a pin, but blunt objects are very difficult to feel. The tingling sensation is concerntrated on the right side of the finger tip. At what point should I consult my regular doctor or immediate care? Michael

General & Family Physician 's  Response
There are several medical conditions that can cause that, like the spondyloarthrosis of the neck, neurological diseases in general, even the diabetes. I would suggest you to have a blood count and a blood sugar test, and after that to see a neurologist.
All the best for you!
