Hello,

You are experiencing tingling sensation in the left leg and foot. This happened after edema and cellulitis. Get treated cellulitis and edema. To reduce edema limit the amount or salt intake. Tingling and numbness are indicative of developing neurological problem. Get clinically examined by a neurologist, take neurological examination to test reflexes, coordination, balance, and functioning of the cranial nerves.

Get blood tests, spinal fluid analysis, MRI, nerve conduction studies, EMG, etc., done. Kidney disease and hypothyroidism may also cause edema and symptoms you are experiencing. Get T3, T4, TSH done. You will be accordingly treated. Control your blood glucose level under control at all cost. Avoid taking alcohol ^ addictions if any.

Take food rich in vitamin B6, B12 and you can also take supplements. Since you have history of valve problem, get it treated at the earliest. Tingling and numbness is not heart related but it can be due to side effects of certain medicines that you may be taking (that you have not mentioned here). Take medicines with caution.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
