General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Your son might be suffering from Wilson’s disease as he is having slurring of speech plus his liver enzymes are on higher side. The second possibility could be encephalitis that is basically the infection of the brain and its membranes. I would suggest you to meet your doctor immediately again and discuss regarding these options and he might need intravenous medications and/or liver biopsy along with lumbar puncture to get the right diagnosis.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
