What Causes Neck Pain Along With Runny Nose And Cough In Children?
My 6 yr old has no fever but is complaining on neck pain. He does have a runny nose and mild cough. No other complaints. He has not wanted to eat much today. He can touch his chin to his chest but says that his neck is sore when he does. What should I do? I can take him to the doctor in the morning but what else could this be. I do not think he has menengitis. He has played and acted fine all day.

you need not to worry at this moment
it can't be meningitis because it causes high grade fever with neck rigidity and projectile vomiting
and some times disorientation
it could be muscle spasm or viral infection that also causes muscle pain
