Hello!
Thank you for your question on HCM!
Regarding your concern I think that your symptoms may be caused by a hormonal imbalance.
I would like to know your age and your past medical history.
A thyroid dysfunction or adrenal gland dysfunction can cause similar symptoms. An ovary tumor can also be the cause. In elderly women these could be first signs of menopause.
I would recommend to consult with your GP, have a routine blood test, thyroid function tests, cortisol plasma levels, liver and renal function levels.
An abdominal ultrasound and other tests would be necessary to establish the cause.
Hope to have been helpful!
Greetings!
Dr. Aida
