General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

GERD can cause nausea, bloating and pain but this is not usually felt in the neck and shoulders.

Tension can lead to stiffness and pain in the neck so if the symptoms related to the reflux are severe and bothersome then this can lead to this problem.

Using proton pump inhibitors would provide better control than the tums. These suppress acid production , examples are nexium, protonix, prevacid, prilosec

Lifestyle changes mainly in terms of meals is also important.

I hope this helps
