What Causes Nausea Along With Abdominal Pain And Low Grade Fever?

My daughter is having nausea, pain in the center of her abdomen, head ache, chills, low grade fever and generally feeling horrible. The emergency room workup of ultrasound, CT with contrast and blood work revealed only that the appendix could not be visualized, and there is a small cyst on her right kidney. They did not have answers, gave a prescription for phenergan and said to come back if it did not get better. They did not do a strep or flu test. We were wondering if it would be worth it to go back and have them do those tests.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor service.
I reviewed your query and here is advise.
I think it may be just gastroenteritis. Treatment is to prevent dehydration by drinking plenty of fluids. In severe cases, hospitalization and intravenous fluids are necessary.

Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
