General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is possible that you are pregnant if you are currently trying to conceive. Pregnancy tests detect the HCG hormone and can normally diagnose pregnancy by day 11 to 14 after conception.

If this is done at the appropriate time and is negative then the other causes of period delay would need to be considered: (1)emotional stress or illness
(2)abnormal levels of thyroid hormone
(3)physical illness
(4)high levels of prolactin
(5)high levels of physical activity
(6)polycystic ovarian syndrome

I hope this helps
