What Causes Mild Fever And Itchy Skin Rashes After Having Intercourse?

Hi Sir, my name is Ravikanth I had HIV symptoms in the last 2 weeks like mild fever and itchy skin rash on back. I had sex with one lady about 7 weeks back. I got HIV test yesterday and the result is non reactive...should I go for any other test..plz advise.

Thanks for writing to HCM.
I understand your concern.
HIV infection cannot be diagnosed only with complaints of fever with itchy skin rash. It could be due to some other cause.
Since you have taken HIV test and it has come non-reactive, you can relax for now.
Kindly get HIV testing done again after 6 months to make sure your status is negative.
For your complaints, you can take symptomatic treatment in the meantime.
Take Tablet. Paracetamol 650 mg when you experience fever and take Tablet. Levocetrizine 10mg when you have itchy skin rash.
