What Causes Menstruation Every Two Weeks At The Age Of 32?

I have been trying to conceive for a little over a year and I am 32 years old. My periods are very regular every 27 to 28 days. I got my period on June 7th and ended on the 10th. I started bleeding again on the 28th of June and it was very dark brown and almost black, didn t get heavy until Sunday morning which at that point it was red and now it is pretty much gone one Monday the 30th of June. Why would I have my period twice in one month and I wasn t due for my period until the 5th of July? Nothing has changed in my life and I have never gotten a period twice in one month.

The possible causes of your bleeding are

1 Intermenstrual spotting due to hormonal imbalance.
2 Implantation bleeding in case of pregnancy.
3 Local causes like cervical erosion polyp etc.

If you miss your expected date of periods, please go for urine pregnancy test once. If the test is negative results and intermenstrual bleeding continues in next month also better to consult your gynecologist once get evaluated and take treatment accordingly.
