What Causes Lumpy And Swollen Tonsils And Sore Throat?

I have a 5 year old with her right tonsil lumpy and swollen. She is complaining of sore throat. No fever but she does have stomach pain and occasional vomiting. She has had a lot of sore throats this year but doctor says he don't know what it is, it's not strep or tonsillitis. Any suggestions?

Hello,

She is having tonsillitis pharyngitis condition. For that, antibiotic course prescribed, diluted Betadine gargle also can be done. Avoid excess spicy foods.

For further work up, ASO titre can be done and Swab taken from posterior pharynx for culture. Also, consult an otorhinolaryngology for the examination.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami
