What Causes Lower Abdominal Cramps And Bleeding In 37 Weeks Pregnancy?
I am currently 37 weeks and have had significant amounts of bloody show twice in the past two days. I have also been experiencing lower abdominal cramps that are accompanied by a pain in my left hip it happens at the same time as the cramp but only last a few seconds at a time and are not really that painful. So my question Is what does this all mean?

HI, I understand your concern. 37 weeks pregnancy is 9th month of pregnancy , some times delivery process can start at this stage. So mild cramps in abdomen & considerable vaginal discharge can be normal.( due to decent of baby head in pelvis) BUT, the considerable amount of bleeding along with it, needs attention. You should go to your gynecologist for a through check up & USG lower abdomen may be needed to exclude low lying placenta / placenta previa. Such cases need immediate interference in delivery to avoid further complications. Till the take complete bed rest/ avoid physical or psychological stress.Visit ER in case you don't get appointment immediately ( as Exclusion of the placental position is vital at this stage.) Thanks.
